RNA – Speaking to the 110th Salman Farsi Infantry Commando Brigade on the sixth anniversary of the martyrdom the “martyrs of unity” in Iran’s southeastern Sistan and Balouchestan province, Molavi Nazir Ahmad Salami said that the security in the Islamic Republic of Iran is due to the blood of martyrs of the country and if they did not defend the country against the foreign invaders, certainly, Iran would not enjoy the security and peace that it has today.

The ceremony commemorated an October 18, 2009 suicide bombing in the southeastern Iranian town of Pishin which killed at least 43 people including several senior Army of the Guardians of the Islamic Revolution members who were preparing a unity conference to be attended by local Sunni and Shi’ite tribal leaders in the predominantly Sunni province.

Iran blamed the United States for involvement in the attacks, as well as Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom for their support of the Jundullah Takfiri terrorist group.

Molavi Salami further said there is no country which enjoys the peace and security that Iran has and added that we should appreciate this security and not allow the enemy to destroy the peace of the country.

The prominent Sunni cleric of Sistan and Balouchestan province pointed to the factors which provide sustainable security in the Islamic Republic of Iran, saying that the first factor for the security in Iran is that its system of governance is based on Islamic and divine law and that the leader of this country [Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei] is a jurisprudent who is well-informed and keeps Islamic doctrine under consideration in all cases.

His Eminence named the second factor for the existence of security in Iran as "the cooperation and interaction between the people and their government officials. The peoples’ cooperation with the military and police forces can be considered as the third factor."

“If the cooperation between the people and these military forces is reduced, we will definitely witness damage to the country’s progress and development. Without this, all infrastructure, including water, electricity, schools and universities will be face problems,” he explained.

The member of the Assembly of Experts addressed the “deluded” arrogant superpowers, saying that those who have been deceived by the enemies of the Islamic government must know that they will not be able to overthrow the Islamic system of government in Iran. “The eight-year long Sacred Defence is an indication of this,” he said.

Molavi Salami explained that there are three factors which are responsible for the establishment of the Islamic Republic in Iran – faith in God, the Quran and the Day of Judgement, political competence, and the leadership of the late Imam Khomeini and the unity of the Iranian people. “For these reasons, the Islamic system has continued,” the Balouchi-Iranian Sunni scholar stated.

He acknowledged the many challenges facing the Islamic world, saying that in the current era, religious differences have become factors in religious war and the promotion of Islamophobia and Iranophobia are on the agenda the enemies.

“The Saudis are making use of their petrodollars under the command of the United States to purchase outdated American weapons and deliver them to Takfiri criminals. Saudi Arabia sides with terrorists and supports them and also attacks other Muslim countries, including Yemen,” he said.
