RNA – Speaking at a conference on Wilayat al-Faqih (Guardianship of the Jurisprudent) and Ghadir in Esfahan, Ayatollah Ahmad Jannati, the chairman of the Guardian Council, noted the importance of complying with the Supreme Jurisprudent and said some people who did not accept the doctrine of Wilayat al-Faqih in the past are trying to misuse the orders of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei].
His Eminence added that such people claim to follow Wilayat al-Faqih but who covertly act against the line of the Supreme Leader are only trying to deceive people.
He emphasized that some people are trying to demonstrate that the United States is Iran’s only saviour, but added that reliance on internal power and the use of its capabilities has been this country’s only saviour. “Those who introduce the US as the saviour of Iran state that the continuation of water, bread, security and prosperity of the nation depends on the presence of the US in Iran,” he said.
Ayatollah Jannati lauded Ayatollah Khamenei’s role in neutralizing the plots of the enemies in recent years and for the current situation in the country, saying: “The enemies have used all their efforts to destroy the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Republic and this has become clearer every day but some people are trying to hide this hostility.”
Tehran’s temporary Friday prayers’ stated that through the words of Iran’s enemies, such as those of US President Barack Obama and other Western leaders, indicate that they believe that the Joint Comprehensive Point of Action (JCPOA) was an achievement that would not be possible to obtain through war.
The chairman of the Guardian Council explained that Iran’s enemies seek to replace the country’s Islamic culture with that of the culture of the West. “This has always been an issue of great concern for the Supreme Leader and he has repeatedly stressed the need for serious action in this regard,” he said.
In regard to the recent tragic stampede in Mina, Ayatollah Jannati criticized the Saudi authorities’ incompetence and mismanagement during this “unprecedented” event in the history of the Hajj pilgrimage and added that the Islamic world should raise their voices against the House of Saud and added that the Muslim world needs to unite with one voice against this criminal regime.
He added that about five thousand people were killed in this tragedy and it was not a natural event, but a crime and the House of Saud does not deserve to host the Hajj pilgrims.
Ayatollah Jannati expressed regret over the silence of some muftis and Islamic scholars and said that the Islamic Revolution is a revolution of revival and anti-arrogance. He added that Islamic Revolution will not remain silent over the maliciousness and crimes of oppressors and emphasized the need for the Saudi regime to be brought to justice in an international court.
“Despite the magnitude of the disaster in Mina and the losses suffered by many Muslim countries, Islamic Republic of Iran is the only country which has taken a firm and unequivocal stand against crimes and the House of Saud,” he stressed.
