Lebanese Sunni Scholar:
Rasa – A prominent Lebanese Sunni scholar has pointed out that Saudi’s behaviour changed after Ayatollah Khamenei’s remarks and added that rather than serving the Hajj pilgrims, the House of Saud serves the US and Israel instead.

RNA – "When Saudi Arabia was negligent in accomplishing its duties towards the Iranian victims of the Mina tragedy, the remakes made by Ayatollah Khamenei caused the Saudis to radically change their behaviour and to think about the consequences of their actions," shaykh Suhayb Habli, a member of the Association of Muslim Scholars of Lebanon, said.

He referred to the tragic stampede in Mina, saying: “Unfortunately, this year Hajj became a tragedy. The main reason for the killing of thousands of Muslims was due to thoughtlessness and negligence by those who claim to be the ‘Servant of the Two Holy Shrines.’”

The Lebanese Sunni scholar said the tragedy was an ultimatum that the administration of the Hajj pilgrimage should be removed from the hands of the House of Saud because “they have shown that they do not have the ability or competence to serve the pilgrims to the House of God [Ka’bah].”

“The administration of the Hajj should definitely be given to the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation,” he stressed.

Shaykh Habli said that instead of serving the pilgrims, the House of Saud is in the service of the United States and the Zionist regime and their criminal propensity has been displayed by their war against Yemen, which has led to the deaths of thousands of innocent people over the past six months.

“The incident in Mina is a new stigma on the forehead of the House of Saud in which thousands of innocent Hajj pilgrims lost their lives,” he said.

He added that it no surprise that Saudi Arabia is involved such a high number of crimes in the Middle East because the Arab Spring is being administered by their ally, the United States. “In reality, the Arab Spring should be called the ‘American Spring in the Islamic World,’” he said.

At the end of his sermon, he offered condolences to the people of Iran and said that instead of accusing Iran over unfounded reasons, Saudi Arabia must adopt a serious stance against the acts of terrorism by the Zionist regime.
