RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Ahmad Salek-Kashani, director of the Cultural Commission of the Islamic Consultative Assembly, point out that several factors led to the Islamic Revolution in Iran and that the primary cause of this glorious victory was due to the excessive pressure on Iranian society by the Pahlavi regime.
He added that the Pahlavi monarchy had submitted to the United States and to Zionist regime and added that the Iranian peoples’ awakening was due to increased efforts by the Islamic clergy and preachers and this enlightenment led to conflict between the people and the oppressive government of the time.
Hujjat al-Islam Salek-Kashani added that the growth of the revolutionary spirit of the people among the people was another factor for the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran and insisted that if this revolutionary spirit is lost, the revolution has been lost.
The member of parliament explained that this revolutionary spirit protects and ensures the continuation of the Islamic Revolution, and said that some argue that Islam is merciful and the origin of this belief is due to “deviancy and Marxism.”
He pointed out that some stress that instead of calling it the “Islamic Revolution,” it should be referred to as the “1979 Revolution,” and added that such an action seeks to weaken the Islamic and revolutionary spirit of the nation.
The head of the parliament’s Cultural Commission stressed that the enemy seeks to separate Iran’s youth and believers from the Islamic Revolution through the development of theological deviation and the creation of corruption and argued that when revolutionary spirit is weakened, the power of the people to protect the revolution will be also be weakened.
Hujjat al-Islam Salek-Kashani explained that the enemies’ movement in this direction is dangerous, saying that we must stand against the enemies’ attacks so that our revolutionary slogans are not disregarded.
