RNA – Speaking during his advanced jurisprudence class at Qom’s Grand Mosque, Grand Ayatollah Hoseyn Nouri-Hamadani explained that man’s deeds and worship are not effective without accepting the guardianship (wilayah) of the Ahlul-Bayt.
In regard to the upcoming Eid al-Ghadir holy day, His Eminence explained that guardianship is the foundation of Islam and added that throughout history, the enemies of pure Muhammadan Islam have stood against the many narrations which prove the guardianship of the Ahlul-Bayt, and have also resorted to fabricated hadiths and have isolated the followers of Ahlul-Bayt.
The revered source of emulation stated that the problems that are plaguing the Islamic community today are the result of deviation from guardianship.
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani said that the legitimacy of the followers of the Ahlul-Bayt and the Shi’a school of thought can be proven from Sunni sources and said: “Shi’as believe that the Imam must be infallible and a fallible Imam has no merit and worthy among Muslims.”
He said that Imams had infallibility in regard to knowledge and practice, and added that if after the death of the Prophet Muhammad the guardianship of Imam Ali was accepted, the non-believers would not have been able to penetrate and influence society.
“Unfortunately, the explicit command of the Prophet was violated and the Islamic community became involved in many problems and difficulties,” he said.
Saudis nurturers of Takfiri terrorist groups
In another part of his sermon, Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani spoke about the recent tragedy in Mina, saying that the true nature of the House of Saud is become more obvious every day, adding that they are the nurturers of Takfiri terrorist groups, such as ISIL, Boko Haram and the al-Nusrah Front and agents of the “global arrogance.”
The renowned Iranian scholar stated that the Saudis initially stated that the death toll was 700 and later were forced to admit it was much higher.
Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi condemned the Saudi’s repeated sabotage against the Iranian delegation.
“Now that we want the bodies of the Iranian victims of this traumatic event to be transferred to Iran, the [Saudis] are preventing it and say that they have been buried in Saudi Arabia,” he said.
“Surely, during the funeral ceremonies and burial of the dead, we will witness a huge wave of slogans against the House of Saudi and their mercenaries and they are afraid of such an act,” he added.
