Rasa News Agency Reports – On the 11th day of the holy month of Ramadan and during the Quran interpretation session, one of the Islamic jurists, Ayatollah Sobhani interpreted the 24th to 28th verses of the Surah Yasin and mentioned a connection between these verses and the fall of the Egyptian president Morsi.

He mentioned the meaning of the first verses of the Sura Yasin and talking about the recent developments in Egypt he said: “Those who think that by killing an oppressed person everything is over, [they most notice that] killing sheikh Hassan Shehata was not a normal decision. [Sheikh Shehata] used to know the whole Quran by heart when he was 5. The heavens reacted to his killing and desecrating his corpse.”

Ayatollah Sobhani declared that the blood of a martyr never gets wasted and that’s why Morsi and the Muslim Brotherhood ousted. “I support neither of them” he said “and I don’t say which one is good and which one is evil. What I’m saying is that keeping silence regarding the bloodshed of an oppressed has its effects, even if the government is righteous.”

“They thought that at the time of Morsi, when a Muslim gets killed and there is no reaction from the Muslim Brotherhood, everything is all over. [But] less than two days later they got into all that trouble.” He added.

He also mentioned the recent actions of the Wahhabi extremists and said: “by lowering the dignity of the holy prophets of God and destroying the Islamic monuments they want nothing to remain from Islam. They want it to be history.”
