RNA – In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Ibrahim Abdullah Saleh, the Deputy Secretary-General of Bahrain’s Islamic Action Society, referred to the recent remarks made by Iran’s Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, wherein he stated that Israel “will not exist in 25 years’ time,” and said that Israel is supported by Western countries and the United States and is based on firm deceit.

He added: “The Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution’s remarks was a response to the enemies’ excesses.”

The senior Islamic Action Society official said that there are two main truths in the world – the first truth is that if the Western countries and the US did not support the Zionist regime, it would have been defeated repeatedly.

The second truth is that some in the West have repeatedly expressed dissatisfaction with the political and financial costs of the existence of the Zionist regime.

Hujjat al-Islam Saleh said that Imam Khomeini is one of the main factors for the growth of the Islamic Awakening throughout the Islamic and Arab worlds, and said: “The awakening and consciousness of Muslims throughout the world has not allowed the Zionist regime to have a moment of comfort.”

He explained that in regard to Israel, Imam Khomeini said that this regime is like a cancer that will soon disappear and the signs of its destruction are slowly becoming obvious.

In another part of his interview, Hujjat al-Islam Saleh stated that reforms by rulers and scholars would lead to effective changes throughout the world. He said that during the 1960s, the movement of Muslims scholars assumed a more prominent role so that by 1978 Iran’s Islamic Revolution was able to become victorious due the efforts of one scholarly personality [Imam Khomeini].

The Bahraini scholar stressed that the scholars must accept their role and impact and believe that they can lead the Muslim world to security and stability, otherwise Muslims will pay a very heavy price for their negligence.

Hujjat al-Islam Saleh added that Muslim scholars in countries like Iran, Iraq, Lebanon and Bahrain should have a leading role in the Islamic world and by adherence to the principles of Islam and the Prophet Muhammad, they can perform their responsibilities well.
