RNA – During his Friday prayer sermon to a large and fervent crowd of believers in Qom, Ayatollah Arafi said that one of the important issues that the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, has recently pointed out is the danger of the influence of the arrogant powers on the various parts of Iranian society.
“We are a revolutionary society – we are intelligent and a people of dialogue and cooperation – but our society must be vigilant, lest the plotters, oppressors and enemies who have a black record, infiltrate them,” His Eminence said.
The principal of al-Mustafa International University added that there are two dangers threatening the Islamic world, the first issue is the religious and sectarian divisions which plague Islamic countries. It has repeatedly been said that the Islamic Revolution in Iran and the Islamic Seminary of Qom are the harbinger of solidarity in the Islamic ummah [community].
“We must maintain vigilance and solidarity to prevent the collapse of the Islamic nation,” he explained.
Ayatollah Arafi said that the second danger is the issue of the soft influence and intellectual collapse of the Islamic ummah, saying: “The enemies know that Islamic Iran and the Iranian people have Imam [Khomeini] and the Supreme Leader and are alert and will not allow in any way – either through moral, spiritual, intellectual and revolutionary means – the collapse of this nation."
"They will stand against all plots by the West and arrogant powers by the grace of God and all their might,” he said.
In reference to Ayatollah Khamenei’s recent comments that Israel “will not [survive long enough to] see the next 25 years,” he stressed that this statement was a decisive warning to Israel.
“Israel is not worthy of attention and is a fake government. The Israeli officials’ hullabaloo is not worth listening to and not worthy of the worlds’ attention,” he added.
Qom’s Friday prayers’ leader said the Israelis have realized that today they have become ensnared in the claws of the Islamic Resistance. They are much smaller than those have the ability to stand against the Resistance and great wave of the Islamic Revolution.
“The Israeli regime is very small and insignificant,” he stressed.
Ayatollah Arafi explained that the Iranian nation is vigilant and added that with this vigilance, the February 2016 parliamentary and Assembly of Experts elections will be held with enthusiasm, saying: “Certainly elections are a human right and this issue has been given special attention in all of Iran’s elections. Approval by the Guardian Council is also an important issue.”
“All political factions must pay attention to the principles of the elections and to the rights the people. If this does not happen, this nation will be plagued by sedition like it was in 2009,” he warned.
