Rasa – Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani has written a letter to Ayatollah Khamenei’s representative in Azerbaijan where he thanked the Azerbaijani people for their kindness and hospitality during his recent trip there.

RNA – After returning from a five-day trip to Azerbaijan last week, Grand Ayatollah Hoseyn Nouri-Hamadani has sent a letter to Hujjat al-Islam Ali-Akbar Ojaqnejad, the representative of Iran’s Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei] in Azerbaijan where he thanked the Leader’s representative, the Azerbaijani people and Shaykh al-Islam Allahshükür Hummat Pashazadeh for their warm hospitality.

 

“Praise be to God Almighty, my trip to [Azerbaijan] which came to light due to the efforts of Your Excellency [Hujjat al-Islam Ojaqnejad] and Shaykh al-Islam Pashazadeh and was a grace from the Lord Almighty. I am thankful for the meetings with the religious people of that country where they showed with their presence and love for Islam and the guardianship of the pure and chaste Ahlul-Bayt and also their respect for myself,” Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani stated in a section of his message.

 

His Eminence also considered it necessary "that I thank you and Shaykh al-Islam [Pashazadeh] and the respected ambassador [of Iran to Azerbaijan, Mohsen Pakayin] and all the honourable people of Azerbaijan for their love, kindness and hospitality which will always remain in my memory.”

 

The revered Iranian source of emulation began his five-day trip to the predominantly Shi’a former Soviet republic on August 31, and he has visited with various religious and cultural personalities.
