RNA – Grand Ayatollah Hoseyn Nouri-Hamadani will travel to the Republic of Azerbaijan, Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad-Hoseyn Shams, the director of the office of the revered source of emulation told Rasa News.
Hujjat al-Islam Shams explained that Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani has been invited by a group of Azerbaijani scholars, intellectuals and elites to travel to the country, who’s population of about ten million has about 95% Shi’a Muslim.
He added that Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani’s journey and his delegation will stay in Azerbaijan for five days and will be leaving for Baku on Monday morning (August 31).
During his visit to the former Soviet republic, His Eminence will have several meetings with Muslim scholars, intellectuals and elites have and visit several Azerbaijani religious centres and academic institutes.
