Rasa News Agency Reports – interviewing with Rasa News international correspondent, the member of the Bahraini national movement and the Bahraini peace activist, Abbas Omran mentioned the recent developments of the Bahraini revolution and the crimes of the al-Khalifa dictator and said: “The al-Khalifa regime uses any means possible to torture its own citizens to crack-down the public revolution.”

The peace activist also shed more lights on how the public revolution in Bahrain started saying: “The revolution in Bahrain can be segmented into two different parts; the first one which is the public and spontaneous one and is called the revolution of 14th of February. The main elements of the revolution came out because of the tyranny and oppression of the al-Khalifa regime. And the other one is the revolution of political parties and groups which came out after the youth and the people and demanded the downfall of the regime.”

The member of the national movement then stressed out that the Bahraini revolution didn’t have any united leadership at the beginning and said: “after the spontaneous and public revolution of 14th of February the religious scholars and the political elite started supporting the public and demanded the downfall of the regime.”

“The dictator regime of al-Khalifa raiding the houses killed numerous religious clerics and arrested  and tortured revolutionary youth.” He added.

He also elaborated that the main purposes of the public revolutions in Bahrain are to free the religious scholars and detainees, fulfilling the civilian rights, reforming the regime, and rendition of al-Khalifa as a war criminal and try the officials of the regime in the international courts.

The Bahraini activist mentioned the conspiracy of some of the western media in misrepresenting the Bahraini revolution as a Shia-Sunni conflict and insisted that the Bahraini revolution is public and national and has never been tribal. Both the Shia and Sunni citizens have one vote and they want to participate in the election to choose their own destiny.

“The Al-Khalifa dictator with support of the Al-Saud and al-Thani regime wants to deceive the people and commit crimes against his own nation specially the Shiite. They demolish mosques and religious sites, yet they claim that the public disagreements and protests are tribal conflicts between Shia and Sunni.” He added.

Abbas Omran also discussed economic issues of the county saying: “The Bahraini Shia citizens have no rights in the country. They don’t even have the right to be employed in governmental organizations. Bahrain’s economy is in woeful situation and the reason is the domination of the al-Khalifa dynasty on the national wealth.”

The Bahraini activist considered the al-Khalifa regime’s negotiation with the Bahraini protesters as a conspiracy and a way to mislead the public opinion and indicated: “al-Khalifa wants to pretend that he has fulfilled the public demands but on the other hand they force stop the protests by threatening and killing civilians and raiding the houses of the clerics and detaining them.”

He then mentioned the speeches of Iran’s supreme leader and its effect on the regional developments and said that the al-Khalifa and al-Saud fear from the speeches of Ayatollah Khamenei. He said: “The speeches of Ayatollah Khamenei have been very encouraging for the Bahraini nation and not only the Bahraini people but also the Saudi Arabian officials are concerned about the his words.”

Pointing out that the Islamic republic of Iran has been the only country to support the Bahraini resistance, he indicated: “some countries which are claiming human rights have took no stances for the benefit of Bahraini nation and have not even condemn brutal crimes of the al-Khalifa regime.”

Abbas Omran considered the Islamic revolution in Iran as the symbol of the revolutions in the arab countries and insisted that the policies of the Islamic republic’s officials specially the supreme leader himself have had a huge effect in developing the Islamic resistance.
