RNA – Speaking at a ceremony celebrating the birth anniversary of Imam Ali al-Ridha (A) in Iran, Rashed al-Rashed, a Bahraini revolutionary, referred to the brutal attack on Yemen by Saudi Arabia, which has now entered its sixth month. “The House of Saudi has tried to justify their invasion by stating that they are defending the Yemeni people from attacks by military forces. This is a very unusual reason,” he said.
He pointed out that every day, 80 Saudi aircraft fly to Yemen to attack it and added that international institutions have remained silent over the Saudi attacks on the impoverished country. “More strange than this is that the United Nations’ Security Council has issued a resolution against Yemen’s Ansarullah resistance group,” he said.
The Bahraini revolutionary said that Yemen had a civilization which lasted thousands of years. This is the same country that has never invaded any country, but there have been dozens of attacks on it by outside powers throughout its history.
al-Rashed said the current Saudi military offensive against Yemen is the seventh war launched by Saudi Arabia against their neighbour and is the most brutal of them all. He added that this war was launched with American support and was conducted without any preliminary steps.
“So far, no Yemeni military personnel have been killed, only civilians have,” he added.
He emphasized the Saudi’s will eventually face defeat in their war against Yemen and stressed that so far, the Saudis have failed to achieve any of their goals. The whole world knows that Yemen does not have any strategic facilities or military bases. “However, they have destroyed all of Yemen’s infrastructure, plus schools, hospitals and public services,” he added.
The Bahraini revolutionary explained that the US and its subordinates in the region will not allow the establishment of any form of democracy or an independence stance in the Middle East.
In response to a question on what he thinks will be the final outcome in Yemen, al-Rashed said that the enemies’ aggression and massacre against the Yemeni people will continue, but the people of this poor country will continue to form a united front to deal with the Saudi aggressors.
In conclusion, al-Rashed said: “All the changes that are occurring in the region suggest that we will witness a new in which people live in joy.”
