Rasa - Tehran’s provisional Friday Prayers Leader Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Movahedi Kermani underlined that the nuclear agreement between Iran and the world powers does not mean a change of hearts in Tehran.

RNA - Addressing a large and fervent congregation of the people on Tehran University campus on Friday, Ayatollah Movahedi Kermani said, "Nuclear agreement does not mean Iran's reconciliation with the US and this way of thinking is wrong."

He pointed to the US hostile policies against Iran, and said, "Washington's crimes against Iran have been too bad to compensate."

On Monday, Ayatollah Khamenei described Iran and the US regional policies as complete opposite, and said Tehran is standing firm against Washington's divisive plots in the region.

Addressing participants in the 8th International General Assembly of Islamic Radios and Televisions Union in Tehran, Ayatollah Khamenei referred to the recent nuclear agreement between Iran and the world powers, and said, "Washington imagined that it could use this agreement whose fate is not clear yet - as its final approval is not yet a definite fact neither in Iran nor in the US - to find a way to wield influence in Iran; and this was their intention."

But "we closed this path; and we will definitely keep it closed", he underlined.

"We will not allow the US to influence (our) economy, or politics or culture. We will stand against such penetration with all our power - that is, thanks God, at a high level today," Ayatollah Khamenei said.

"They seek to disintegrate the regional states and create small and subordinate countries but God willing, this will not happen," Ayatollah Khamenei warned, elaborating on the US regional policies.

"Disintegration of Iraq and, if they can, Syria is the clear policy of the Americans, but the territorial integrity of the regional states, Iraq and Syria is highly important to us," he added.

Ayatollah Khamenei elaborated on Iran's regional policies, and said, "Iran fully supports resistance in the region, specially the resistance in Palestine, and will support anyone who struggles against Israel and strikes at the Zionist regime."

Noting that fighting against the US divisive policies in the region is one of Iran's main policies, he voiced strong protest at the propaganda efforts made in London under the pretext of supporting Shiites and against the Sunni Muslims, and said such moves merely serve the arrogant powers.

Ayatollah Khamenei also stressed Iran's support for all the oppressed people, including the Bahrainis and the Yemenis, but meantime stressed, "Despite baseless claims, we don’t interfere in these countries but continue supporting the oppressed people."

Iran and the world powers reached a final agreement in Vienna on July 14 to end a 13-year-old nuclear standoff.

A week later, the UNSC unanimously endorsed a draft resolution turning into international law the JCPOA reached between Iran and the 5+1 (the US, Russia, China, Britain and France plus Germany) group of countries over the Islamic Republic’s nuclear program.

Now the US Congress and the Iranian parliament have less than 60 days to review the deal to approve or reject its practice.

In relevant remarks some days after the agreement, Ayatollah Khamenei underlined the nuclear agreement between Tehran and the six world powers would not change Iran's policy towards the US.

"In any case the policy of the Iranian nation and the Islamic Republic system vis-a-vis the US will not change," Ayatollah Khamenei said, addressing worshippers in the Eid al-Fitr (marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan) prayers in Tehran.

Iran's Supreme Leader reiterated that whether the text of the nuclear agreement was ratified by the Iranian parliament or not, Iran would continue supporting the oppressed Palestinian nation, Yemen, Bahrain as well as the nations and governments of Syria and Iraq and the honest warriors of Lebanon and Palestine.

Ayatollah Khamenei reiterated that Iran's policy towards the US would never change.

The Leader pointed to the boastful remarks of the US statesmen and officials in recent days, and said, "The US statesmen and stateswomen are inevitably making boastful remarks these days to resolve their internal problems, but their brags are not real."

He said that Islamic Iran would never yield to excessive demands of the enemies while safeguarding its defensive and security capabilities.
