RNA – Speaking during a cultural session with women members of the Islamic Supreme Council of Iraq, Hujjat al-Islam al-Qubanchi, the Friday prayers’ leader of the Iraqi holy city of Najaf, stated in reference to the passing of an important reform package in Iraq’s parliament that once again the sources of emulation have proved that they're after fulfilling the needs of the Iraqi people and their concern is to solve the peoples’ problems.
He added that the sources of emulation’s special relationship and love for Ahlul-Bayt (A) should cause them to be more understanding of the people and encourage them to be more knowledgeable of their needs.
The Friday prayers’ leader of Najaf demanded the people to stand alongside the sources of emulation and stated that their calls for government reform represents the Iraqi people’s increased awareness and political development.
The sources of emulation had called on Prime Minister Haydar al-Abadi to make important decisions and enact strict procedures against the financial and administrative corruption strangling Iraq and called on him to abolish the privileges of current and former officials in the government.
Last Tuesday, Iraq’s parliament unanimously passed Prime Minister al-Abadi’s anti-corruption and reform package. The posts of three vice presidential posts as well as the offices of three deputy prime ministers will be scrapped.
