RNA - The demonstration was held late on Monday with protesters chanting slogans in support of Mohammed Allaan who has been on hunger strike for almost two months.
Allan has been refusing food in protest of his being held without charge since November 2014 under Israel’s administrative detention policy, which allows indefinite imprisonment terms without charge.
On Saturday, Israeli officials announced a decision to force-feed Allaan who was placed in intensive hospital care when his body showed signals of failure to absorb drinking water.
Despite warnings that force-feeding would be life-endangering to Allaan, an Israeli medical committee has authorized the procedure.
So far, the procedure has been refused by two Israeli hospitals.
Palestinians in Israeli jails regularly go on hunger strike in protest against the prison conditions as well as the administrative detention policy.
The Tel Aviv regime has long been concerned that hunger strikes by Palestinians in Israeli prisons could end in death and trigger waves of protests in the occupied lands.
