RNA – The Friday prayers’ leader of the eastern Saudi Arabian town of al-Rabi’yah, Hujjat al-Islam Shaykh Abdul-Karim al-Hubayl, protested the the silence of the international community in relation to the long list of crimes committed by the Zionist regime, including the horrendous burning of a Palestinian toddler to death by a group of Zionist settlers in the West Bank village of Duma.
Eighteen-month-old Ali Sa’ad Dawabshah was burnt to death in the early hours of July 31, when Israeli settlers, wearing black balaclavas, smashed a window and threw a Molotov cocktail into the toddlers’ parents’ bedroom while they were asleep in their house. Other members of the family were severely injured in the incident.
Speaking to believers gathered at the town’s al-Abbas (A) Mosque, the Shi’ite scholar also added that the international community has not said a word about the burning of homes, bombing of mosques, places of worship, schools and markets throughout Palestine by the regime that the West defends as “only democracy in the Middle East.”
“Where are the United Nations and the its Security Council and human rights organizations and Muslims n general?” he wondered.
His Eminence said: “We are presently witnessing violence in the West Bank by settlers which is increasing every day and the Israeli government has condoned these crimes against the rights of the innocent Palestinian people.”
Shaykh al-Hubayl criticized that some religious scholars who have remained silent in the face of the recent events in Palestine, saying that no visionary scholar should remain tight-lipped when a tyrant is oppressing the weak. He stressed that Islamic organizations should be free of political issues and condemn Israel’s inhumane actions.
The renowned Shi’ite scholar referred to the ongoing efforts of the regime occupying to Judaize the Muslim holy city of al-Quds (Jerusalem). “Extremist Zionist settlers have frequently attacked al-Aqsa Mosque and insulted the sanctities of Muslims, hurt the feelings of the Palestinian people and Muslims of the world and have only one goal – the destruction of first qiblah [direction of prayer] of Muslims,” he said.
He called on the youth to station themselves in al-Asqa Mosque to work to protect it from the Zionists attacks and prevent the desecration of their holy sites and denounce the silence of Islamic countries in regard to crimes of the Zionist occupation army.
The Friday prayer of Qatif condemned this brutal act committed by Zionist settlers and added that it was an example of blatant injustice against the Palestinian people.
