RNA - Ayatollah Mohsen Araki pointed to his recent participation in the First General Assembly of Islamic Resistance Ulema (scholars) Union in the Lebanese capital of Beirut, saying that the conference was of prime importance given the current situation of the Muslim world.
Holding the conference is indicative of the fact that conspiracies in the Middle East region have failed to make the issue of Palestine fade into oblivion, the cleric underlined.
"A new era of support for the oppressed people of Palestine, their territories and al-Aqsa Mosque has just begun," he added.
First General Assembly of Islamic Resistance Ulema Union was mounted in Beirut earlier this week with prominent religious leaders and thinkers in attendance.
Back in January, Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei underlined Iran's determination to continue support for the Palestinian cause.
"The Islamic Republic of Iran will remain resolved (in its support) until the day that the cause of Palestine is materialized," Ayatollah Khamenei said in a meeting with Head of Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine–General Command (PFLP-GC) Ahmed Jibril in Tehran.
The Leader also noted that the issue of Palestine is among the top issues of the entire Muslim world.
