RNA – During his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large and fervent crowd of believers in the Holy Shrine of Imam al-Husayn (A), Hujjat al-Islam al-Karbala’i referred to the continuation of the battle against ISIL terrorists and the efforts of the Iraqi security forces, Popular Mobilization Forces and tribal fighters in Ramadi and other cities of vast al-Anbar province, saying he appreciated the efforts of these forces.
He urged the residents of the ISIL-occupied territories, especially the children of the tribes who have a reputation for zeal, to join together and stand against the terrorists.
Hujjat al-Islam al-Karbala’i called on the Iraqi government to fulfill the needs and demands of its citizens, stressing that the Iraqi people are suffering from defective services in many areas, particularly in regard to the electricity supply during the extreme heat of the summer.
“The government is expected to place emphasize on correct planning to solve these problems,” he said.
Hujjat al-Islam al-Karbala’i referred to the great possibilities in Iraq, saying that if the government planned correctly, there would be no unemployed citizens.
The government must realize that the financial and administrative corruption is the “mother of all tribulations” facing Iraq. Also, the lack of planning by this government and the existence of terrorism and insecurity are among the current problems facing the country.
The revered Iraqi scholar noted that the majority of Iraq’s citizens have continued to be patient and have dedicated their lives to fight the ISIL despite the difficulties.
His Eminence invited the federal and local governments to respect their citizens and to refrain from using aggression against the peoples’ legitimate and peaceful demonstrations and said that officials should work to fulfill the wishes of the citizens and accommodate them, strive to meet their needs, and put themselves in the peoples’ shoes so that they can understand their problems.
The Friday prayers’ leader of Karbala stated the participation of the Popular Mobilization Forces in the war against ISIL shows their military and spiritual support for the Iraqi nation and is also a driving force in creating national solidarity.
“Support of the armed forces in the war against ISIL must be coincide with solidarity between the authorities and the fulfillment of the citizens’ demands,” he added.
