RNA – In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Ahmad Salek, the president of the Parliament's Cultural Commission, referred to recent remarks made by Iran’s Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, during a meeting with students and representatives of university student groups where he said: “According to Quranic principles, fighting against arrogance and global imperialism is never-ending and today, the United States is the very epitome of arrogance.”
“The battle against the enemies of Islam and the resistance of truth against falsehood is an important issue which has been fought continuously since the beginning of creation and will continue to be fought in the future,” Hujjat al-Islam Salek remarked.
His Eminence stressed that that in the Holy Quran, God has promised us the victory of truth over falsehood, saying: “The battle against falsehood will be continue until all falsehood is completely eliminated and it will be eliminated but it will not be completed without hardship.”
The president of the Parliament's Cultural Commission said: “As long as truth exists, falsehood will also exist and vice versa. There are dozens of verses and narrations in this regard. As long as the Islamic Republic is on the true path, the US will continue with its animosity toward Iran.”
His Eminence stressed that an announcement of readiness to fight the arrogant powers must be permanent, saying: “An announcement of readiness must not be partial. When it is said that the war is over, we should not go for jihad and fight. Rather, today the hard battle is over political and cultural issues.”
Hujjat al-Islam Salek pointed out that the arrogant powers have came to the conclusion that they cannot militarily resist the will of a nation which supports the system of Wilayat al-Faqih (Guardianship of the Jurisprudent).
“Iran has been under 35 years of economic sanctions and recently, we have been under even stricter sanctions than ever before. [However,] it must be said that these sanctions have been a great blessing for our people because with this blessing, the nation and the elite of the nation have been guided toward self-sufficiency,” he said.
The representative of the Islamic Consultative Assembly said that in the current conditions, the “global arrogance” have come to the conclusion that political and military conflict with Iran is not possible and instead, they have used all of their power to fight Iran economically.
In conclusion, Hujjat al-Islam Salek noted that through waging a soft war and spreading anti-cultural propaganda against Iran, the enemies also seek to destroy the foundation of families.
