RNA – Referring to the ongoing nuclear talks in Vienna, Ayatollah Ahmad Khatami said that Iranian nation has no way except for resistance to the excessive demands of the Western governments.
The al-Quds Day rallies showed that Iranian nation is united in defence of its ideals, the cleric noted.
He said that excessive demands of US and its allies created stumbling block to reach nuclear agreement between Iran and P5+1, adding that US is not trustworthy.
Referring to the West request for negotiations, Ayatollah Khatami said that Iran’s presence at the negotiating table was not the fruit of sanctions.
Iranian nation, the Supreme Leader and all branches of power support good agreement between Iran and P5+1, he added.
Ayatollah Khatami said that if Iran and P5+1 fail to reach a final agreement, it will not be the end of world.
He expressed deep concern about deterioration of humanitarian situation in Yemen, calling on the United Nations to discharge its obligation to save the Yemeni people from Saudi indiscriminate bombardment of the civilian targets in Yemen.
Meanwhile, Ayatollah Khatami expressed outrage at Israeli war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza and systematic assassination of the Palestinian activists in the Palestinian territories.
Iran has called on The Hague-based International Criminal Court to bring to justice the Israeli leaders for the heinous crimes they perpetrated against the Palestinian activists.
Palestine has become a member of the International Criminal Court and filed complaint with ICC prosecutor against Israeli leaders for the crimes against humanity they perpetrated in Gaza.
Iran says that Israeli leaders must understand that Israelis an occupying entity and the Palestinian activists have the right to go ahead with campaign against Tel Aviv regime to liberate their motherland.
