RNA – In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Fallahian, the former parliamentary deputy of the Islamic Propagation Organization, referred to the ongoing negotiations with the P5+1 group of countries over Iran’s disputed nuclear program as “positive.”
“In the negotiations, we seek our best interests. In order to bring the international opinion to our side, we need to negotiate. For this reason, Ayatollah Khamenei [the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution] said we should negotiate. All governments have negotiated and advanced,” he said.
His Eminence said that Ayatollah Khamenei said Iran must resist the international opinion – he said we do not accept dialogue but we are not opposed to it either. This is a beautiful statement. The world should know that we are people of reason and dialogue. This means that we can speak for ourselves and can sit at the negotiating table,” Hujjat al-Islam Fallahian said.
He explained that the enemies do not seek compromise with the Iranian government, saying: “Be sure that if the nuclear issue is resolved, they will bring up other issues such as human rights. Our enemies are always against us. But they cannot not prevent our progress. They must put these issues aside.”
In conclusion, Hujjat al-Islam Fallahian said: “Be sure that pure Muhammadan Islam cannot stand alongside ‘American Islam’ because these two types of Islam are opposed to each other. From the beginning of our Islamic Revolution, we have stood by pure Islam and we must oppose American Islam to the end.”
