Rasa – Ayatollah Ka’bi said that Americans are trying to prolong the negotiation process and it is obvious that they seek to change the path of the Islamic Revolution by seeking excesses.

RNA – In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, Ayatollah Abbas Ka’bi, a renowned professor in the Islamic Seminary of Qom, referred to Iran’s ongoing negotiations with the P5+1 group of countries over its disputed nuclear program.

 

He said the Islamic Republic would like an absolutely fair and just agreement which accepts the demands of the Iranian nation and removes the sanctions imposed on Iran’s economic, financial, banking and currency sectors.

 

His Eminence stressed that by taking a reasonable and flexible stance on the red lines of the Iranian government and the Iranian people, everything will be provided for a fair and equitable final agreement, and if the Americans do not seek excesses, an agreement is within reach.

 

Ayatollah Ka’bi said that Americans have shown with their own history and through the basic strategy that they are using in the current negotiations that they seek to change the path of the Islamic Revolution. It seems that the Americans assume that through imposing excesses and pressure, they can get concessions from the Iranians. “But, rest assured that the Iranian nation will not give in excesses of the West and the United States!” he said.

 

The representative of Khuzestan province in the Assembly of Experts said that Iran’s firm position has been clarified by the Supreme Leader of the Revolution (Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei) the Iranian nation and its negotiating team. A national consensus on the positions of the Iranian nation have provided for a fair agreement.

 

The renowned scholar and professor said that in through the current negotiations, the Americans intend to influence Iran’s parliamentary elections, future presidential elections and even elections to the Assembly of Experts with a series of objectives and psychological propaganda projects. They seek to prolong the negotiations and when a due date is reached, they feign that a series of special negotiations could lead to a final agreement. They eek to discuss other [unrelated] political issues in these negotiations.

 

Ayatollah Ka’bi said today, everyone has witnessed that the negotiation of every agreement is due to the guidance and support of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution. If the negotiating team negotiates with honour and courage and within the red lines, they will remain under the strong support of the Supreme Leader.
