Rasa News Agency Reports – In an interview with our international correspondent, one of the scholars of Saudi Arabia, Sheikh Abdol-Mohsen Al-Nimr Mentioning 24th anniversary of demise of Imam Khomeini, the leader of the Islamic revolution in Iran, said: “Before the revolution in Iran, Islamic was just [limited to] saying prayers and doing religious compulsories and the social, political and global aspects of it was neglected.”
He considered the Imam Khomeini as the creator of the wave of Islamic Awakening in the world and added: “In addition to paying attention to worshiping compulsories by saying prayers, Haj, paying Khums and Zakat and fasting, Ayatollah Imam Khomeini revived the global aspect of religion and breathed a new spirit into the body of the Muslim World.”
“By launching an Islamic political system and propagating it to the world, he even reinforced the worshiping compulsories” the scholar emphasized.
Sheikh Abdol-Mohsen Al-Nimr declared that the wave of Islamic Awakening has affected other religions like Christianity and has caused dignity for Islam.
Considering the supreme leader of Islamic Republic of Iran as the extender of the path of revolution, he stated: “The enemy thought that the Islamic revolution would have been perished after the [demise] of Imam Khomeini but it didn’t take much time when the righteous successor of Imam, Ayatollah Khamenei destroyed their plots and plans.”
The Saudi Arabian scholar considered Imam Khomeini and Imam Khamenei as the cause of the eye-catching development of Islam in the world.
At the end of his interview, Sheikh al-Nimr said: “The only way to confront the arrogant powers and to get rid of the domination of countries like US is to have a charismatic religious leadership like Imam Khomeini.”
