RNA - President of the Supreme Council of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought Ayatollah Mohammad Ali Taskhiri in an interview with IRNA reporter denounced the recent terrorist attack on a Shia mosque in the Kuwaiti capital which claimed the life of at least 25 innocent people.
Heading a delegation to Kuwait, President of the Supreme Council of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought visited Emir of Kuwait, conveying the Iranian Leader, government, and nation's sympathy to him and the bereaved family of the victims.
Representatives of the Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei took part in the commemoration ceremony held for the victims of the recent bomb blast. In this regard, Ayatollah Taskhiri stressed, “The event was an indication of the standing rapprochement and unity among Muslim people of Kuwait.”
The grand Ayatollah beckoned to the shared takes among Muslims from different Islamic sects and denominations, noting, “Commonalities between Shiite and Sunni are more than 90 percent; while enemies seek to spotlight the minute differences so as to stir up sedition among Muslim nations.”
President of the Supreme Council of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought called on Muslims to refrain from any measures leading to dispersion, stressing the divine religion of Islam places stress on the shared humane principles.
It is worthwhile to note that Ayatollah Taskhiri also met with family members of the three Iranian citizens martyred in the blast and conferred with a number of ministers and parliamentary officials. In the meeting, the senior cleric voiced hope that in near future Muslim nations would relying on their solidarity, severing the hands of all their ill-wishers and enemies so as to restore peace and security in the Islamic world.
"Islam is the religion of love, brotherhood, and peace and is therefore in direct contrast against all types of aggression and extremism, which are incongruous with the divine Islamic teachings and only strengthen the enemies' front," pointed out the grand Ayatollah.
Ayatollah Taskhiri said that the Iranians are entirely mourning for their martyred fasting brethren at Imam Sadeq Mosque while praying in the holy month of Ramadan.
