RNA - General Secretary of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought Ayatollah Mohsen Araki in an exclusive interview with Houzeh News Agency slammed the recent terror attack at a Shia mosque, which claimed the lives of dozens of people in Kuwait, stressing, “Waging war and showdown between Shiite and Sunni people, breaking resistance movement against the arrogance and Zionism are of objectives terrorist groups seek to advance and fulfill.”

 

On Friday, at least 27 people were killed and over 220 more injured as an explosion rocked the mosque in Kuwait City’s busy al-Sawabir district. According to reports, a Saudi national is being held responsible for the attack and several suspects have been detained by police for questioning over the bombing which was claimed by the Takfiri ISIL terror group.

 

In this regard, the grand Ayatollah beckoned to the catalogue of crimes and extremist moves occuring in the region stressing, “Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic, Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei has sternly warned Muslims of as such danger urging Muslims to refrain from the extremist measures”.

 

President of Iran top unity center pointed to the current movement in the World of Islam, noting the move has the capacity to turn to a powerful United Ummah. “Given that Terroristic groups are after placing some hurdles in this way, avoiding Muslims to form such Ummah,” underscored Ayatollah Araki.

 

General Secretary of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought beckoned to the duty upon Muslims and religious thinkers in World of Islam, calling on them to join hands, refraining from tension. In his term, “every single tension lays the ground for increasing dispersion and assuredly would be a betrayal toward Islam and Muslims.”

 

Ayatollah Mohsen Araki nudged Muslims to be discerning, making it a practice to stand against the danger of extremism and Takfir through unity and solidarity. 

 

General Secretary of Iran top unity body placed stressed on the duty shouldered by international organizations and foundations, demanding them to stop backing such measures and not to side with Takfiri and terroristic groups whose goals from such actions in a place to worship God and during the holy month of Ramadan is to defame Islam and to create division among Muslims.

 

The senior cleric also leveled criticism at some Persian Gulf Arabian states their economic aid are funneled into the areas controlled by Takfiri, urging them not to supply the rout for these extremist groups.
