Rasa - Senior cleric Ayatollah Hossein Vahid Khorasani on Saturday strongly condemned massacre of a group of Friday prayer worshipers at Imam Sadeq Mosque in Kuwait City in a terrorist attack which claimed lives of 27 worshipers and injured 200 others.
RNA - In the statement, Ayatollah Khorasani prayed for patience of the bereaved families of the victims and quick recovery of those injured in the savage attack.
The terrorist group of ISIL has claimed the responsibility for the attack.
The Kuwaiti government declared a day of mourning in Kuwait.
In a telephone conversation with his Kuwaiti counterpart on Friday, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif condemned the attack and sympathized with the government and nation of Kuwait on the human tragedy.
