RNA – During his Friday prayer sermon delivered to a large crowd of believers in Qom’s Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah (S), Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Hashem Hoseyni-Bushehri referred to the 7th of Tir incident, which occurred on June 28th, 1981, where a powerful bomb went off at the headquarters of the Iran Islamic Republic Party (IRP) in Tehran, while a meeting of party leaders was in progress. This led to the martyrdom of seventy-two of the nation’s leading revolutionary officials at the hands of the so-called Mujahedin-e Khalq (MKO) terrorist organization.
Qom’s Friday prayers’ leader said they the enemies had plans to destroy the foundations of the Islamic Republic but the martyrdom of these leaders had a large impact on the nation and breathed new life into the country.
The day before this event, the enemies sought to assassinate the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, but they failed. After this event, Imam Ruhollah Khomeini congratulated him for his service to the Islamic Revolution and to the people.
He also referred to the importance of taking advantage of the holy month of Ramadan, saying that the status of Ramadan must be preserved and the recommendations of the Infallible Imams (A) must be put into practice during this month. “The 14th to the 21st of Ramadan are considered days of providing sustenance and days of honour and all people should help the poor during these days,” he added.
Referring to Ayatollah Khamenei’s meeting with government officials on June 23rd, Ayatollah Bushehri explained that Ayatollah Khamenei discussed several key points during this meeting, the first being that he discussed ethics – he emphasized the remembrance of death saying that when man is remembers death and resurrection, it reminds him not to create tension and political problems in society because he knows that this world is unimportant in comparison to the hereafter, where he will be judged.
He also said that the Supreme Leader discussed nuclear issues, the “resistance economy" and the internal challenges and problems facing Iran, including the suffering that the Iranian people are facing. He added that the people have been diligently resisting the enemies’ plans for 36 years and added that with honesty and loyalty, the people can overcome the enemies’ excesses.
The member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom said that the Supreme Leader said the nuclear issue is a national issue and there is no opposition over it among the people. Ayatollah Khamenei said the final agreement should be acceptable and dignified and he clarified the “red lines” for the negotiating team and others.
“[Ayatollah Khamenei] supports the competence of the nuclear negotiating team, calling them soldiers who are facing the enemy on the battlefield. He also said the Iranian nation is asking that the sanctions imposed by the US Congress, the UN Security Council, the US government and the European Union should cancelled immediately,” His Eminence added.
In conclusion, Ayatollah Bushehri explained that the US’ long history of unfaithfulness and treachery has been proven. “The Iranian nation is resisting and we say to the negotiating team to remain and do not be afraid as million’s of people have given you their explicit support,” he said.
