Rasa - The Iraqi top cleric Muqtada al-Sadr demanded US President Barack Obama to apologize to Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi and the Iraqi people because of ignoring Abadi during the G7 summit.

RNA - Sadr’s demand came as an answer to a question by one of his followers (Muhammad Kazim) to comment on the incident.

Sadr replied:“I heard that Obama apologized . If he did not do so, he should apologize to all Iraqi people in general.”

The White House denied the rumors on Tuesday that Obama deliberately ignored Abadi during the G7 summit, which was held in Germany.
