RNA – Hujjat al-Islam Raja Nasir Abbas Jafari, the secretary-general of Pakistan’s Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen has issued a statement in which he stressed that Saudi Arabia must stop its attacks in Yemen, at least during the holy month of Ramadan.

He added that the massacre of Yemeni Muslims during Ramadan is similar to the crimes committed by Israel is the Gaza Strip last summer.

The secretary-general of the Majlis Wahdat-e-Muslimeen said since the Saudi bombardment of Yemen began on March 25, Saudi Arabia has killed thousands of innocent men, women and children in Yemen.

Hujjat al-Islam Jafari pointed to the virtues of the holy month of Ramadan in Islam, saying that this month of fasting is a month of peace and security. This month teaches Muslims patience and tolerance. However, the Saudis have massacred dozens of civilians in Yemen in violation of the sanctity of this month.

His Eminence stressed that Muslim countries should maintain respect for the holy month of Ramadan.

The Pakistani Shi’a scholar said that intervention in the affairs of another country on the basis of challenging their sovereignty not only violates international law, but is also contrary to ethical standards as well.

He added that due to Saudi Arabia’s selfish national interests, the entire Islamic world faces security threats. It is obvious that the main cause of the divisions facing the Islamic world are due to the conspiracies of the Zionist regime in Muslim countries.

Hujjat al-Islam Jafari asked the international community not to forget the problems facing Muslims during Ramadan, especially in Yemen and Myanmar, and to do whatever they can to help them.
