RNA – Mohammad Yaghi, the head of the Hezbollah’s office in Lebanon’s Beqaa region and a former member of the Lebanese Parliament, spoke of the grave risks and threats posed by the Zionist regime and by Takfiri terrorist groups to Lebanon at ceremony commemorating the martyrdom of one the martyrs from this region.
He added that Hezbollah has the ability to defend all regions in Lebanon, both predominantly Muslim areas and Christian areas, from both the Zionist threat and from Takfiri terrorist groups because the Shi’a resistance group has popular support among the various religious groups in the multi-religious country.
According to a recent survey by the Beirut Centre for Research and Information it was revealed that two-thirds of Lebanon’s Christians believe Hezbollah is protecting Lebanon from the threat posed by Takfiri groups.
Yaghi stressed upon the determination and endurance of the Islamic Resistance, saying that all those who support the cause of their homeland will resist the Zionist and Takfiri threats to the last drop of their blood “not only in this country, but they will stand by the Islamic Resistance in Syria in the battle against Takfiri extremists.”
The senior Hezbollah member criticized those who are disrupting Lebanon’s internal security and peace, saying those who support Takfiri groups or criticize Hezbollah’s stance against them, have in fact been active on the battlefield of the enemy and have done the greatest act of treason against their country.
