RNA - The meeting, like in previous years, was held on the first day of the holy month of Ramadan, Iran's Quran News reported.
15 Qaris and Quran masters recited verses from the Holy Quran and Tawasheeh groups performed choral recitation of the Holy Book’s verses.
Addressing the event, Ayatollah Khamenei praised the progress of Quran reciters of the country.
His Eminence also stressed that beautiful recitation should be a prelude to conveying the teachings and concepts of the Quran to people.
Ayatollah Khamenei underlined that the Qari, himself, should have profound belief in the concepts of the verses he recites.
The Supreme Leader also said that one of the requirements for effectiveness of Quran recitations is observing the criteria and rules of Lahn.
