RNA – In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Ruh-e Zafar Rizvi, the Friday prayers’ leader of Mumbai, India, referred to the role Imam Khomeini played in the worldwide awakening against the arrogant powers of the world. “In recent years we have witnessed several revolutions throughout the world. A common trend in all these revolutions is that the people are rising up against the US, Israel and other arrogant Western powers,” he said.
His Eminence explained that many people throughout the world have come to the realization that every major problem and every form of oppression in the world is due to the US’ and Israel’s interference. This understanding is due to the insight and impact of the discourse Imam Khomeini created in the world.
Hujjat al-Islam Rizvi emphasized that Imam Khomeini’s theories were not applicable only to Muslims but to all of mankind. Imam Khomeini warned us that we must know our enemies, and this caused people to stand up against oppression throughout the world and their revolutions were ultimately victorious.
Referring to the personality and simple lifestyle and piety in the personal life of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, the Indian scholar said the people’s love for their leader is because he follows the lifestyle of the Holy Prophet Muhammad.
The Friday prayers’ leader of Mumbai said that in the time of Imam Khomeini, the Shi’a of Lebanese were divided into various groups, but due to the Imam’s practical wisdom, these various groups united to form Hezbollah.
Hujjat al-Islam Rizvi referred to those people who think the problems of Muslims can be solved by dealing with the US and other Western countries. “Do those who speak of negotiations with the US forget what the arrogant powers and their allies in the region have done? Have they forgotten that after the US uses these allies, they will likely throw them aside? They even have had some of their old friends killed. The result is that the United States’ lovers must learn a lesson from these events,” he stressed.
His Eminence asked several important questions about the relationships between the US and their regional allies: “What benefits are those countries which are the slaves of the US and Israel receiving? Is the strength of their defence strengthened? Are their economies improving? Have they progressed scientifically and technologically? Have they been released from slavery?”
Hujjat al-Islam Rizvi pointed several Middle Eastern countries who are controlled by foreigners, saying some Arab countries, such as Saudi Arabia, cannot even manage an airport by themselves! “At Saudi airports, it can be seen that all security officials and technical staff are foreigners. However, it is not like this in Iran. Iran has acquired new technology without the aid of foreigners and despite the plots of its wolf-like enemies, it manages its own affairs and has achieved independence. In fact, all of these advances are due to the Islamic Revolution,” he said.
