Rasa – The office of the late Ayatollah Asefi announced that the funeral prayer for the body of the demised Ayatollah will be performed by Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi.
RNA – According to information obtained by Rasa News Agency, the funeral ceremony of the late Ayatollah Asefi will be held in Qom but the body of the revered Ayatollah will be buried in the holy city of Najaf according to his will.
The office of the late Ayatollah also announced that the funeral prayer or the Salat al-Janazah for the body of the demised Ayatollah is planned to be performed by Grand Ayatollah Makarem Shirazi after the Friday prayers in the holy city of Qom.
Suffering from a liver cancer, Ayatollah Asefi passed away on Thursday morning at the age of 78.
