RNA - Foreign Ministry Spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham on Friday condemned the attack on the Imam Hussein (PBUH) mosque in Dammam.

All measures should be taken to prevent such incidents and combat those who have targeted the security and stability of the region by provoking religious strife, said Iran’s Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Marziyeh Afkham.

Earlier on Friday, a car bomb attack targeted the Imam Hussein Mosque in Dammam, the capital city of Saudi Arabia’s Eastern Province.

The ISIL Takfiri terrorist group claimed responsibility for the attack, which left at least four people dead.

The attack came a week after another Takfiri element blew himself up at the Imam Ali Mosque in Qatif, killing 21 people and injuring 97 others.
