RNA – Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani has issued a message condemning of the terror attack on Friday Prayers’ worshippers at the Imam Ali (A) Mosque in the town of al-Qadih, in the Qatif region of Saudi Arabia.
In his message, the revered Shi’ite authority stated: “With great sadness we heard of the news of this criminal aggression against those attending Friday prayers at the Imam Ali (A) Mosque in the town of al-Qadih in the Qatif region of Saudi Arabia which led to martyrdom, injury and the shedding of the blood of these loved ones because of their affiliation to the Imams of Ahlul-Bayt (A).
This attack on Shi’ite worshipers, which was later claimed by ISIL, led to the martyrdom of 21 people and wounded 121 others.
Ayatollah Sistani offered his condolences on the tragedy of the people of Qatif and offered his condolences to the families who lost their loved ones in this incident and expressed his solidarity with the people.
The revered source of emulation prayed to God Almighty, "who gave these martyrs the best closing to their lives and elevated their pure souls during prayer and on the noble birth anniversary of Imam Husayn (A), to give them patience on the day when they will be gathered, also that divine blessings be given to their families and to provide a quick recovery for the wounded."
