Rasa – France’s ambassador to Baghdad has met with several sources of emulation in Najaf to discuss current issues.
RNA – According to Rasa News' Iraq correspondant, Mark Barriti, the French ambassador to Iraqi visited the Iraqi holy city of Najaf on Tuesday where he met with the Shi’ite sources of emulation Ayatollah Muhammad-Sa’id al-Hakim, Ayatollah Muhammad-Ishaq al-Fayyadh and Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi individually.
The purpose of these meetings was to share views and take advantage of the knowledge of the Shi’ite authorities in Iraq.
Barriti emphasized France’s support of Iraq in its fight against terrorism.
The sources of emulation of Najaf stressed the necessity of expanding and developing Iraq’s relations with other countries and adding that this issue is due to the country’s international isolation.
