RNA – In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, Ayatollah Abbas Ka’bi, the representative for Khuzestan province in the Assembly of Experts, stated that the United States has the most dishonourable government in the world, adding that US is so hated throughout the world due to their authoritarian, arrogant, oppressive, murdering and criminal nature.
“The Americans support criminal acts, oppression and state terrorism [throughout the world],” he stated.
Ayatollah Ka’bi added that the US’ human rights record is black and emphasized that there is no evidence of international law in their relations with other countries.
He stated that this can be proven by their defence of authoritarian and criminal regimes like that of Saudi Arabia and Israel.
The member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom reiterated that the US only recognises human rights where it is in their own interest, saying that they support the Saudi’s bombardment of innocent people in Yemen and do not show any reaction to these war crimes.
He also compared US support of Israel crimes in Palestine and the Saudi crimes in Yemen, saying the US seeks to quell the growing awakening of [Islamic] nations by training terrorists.
Ayatollah Ka’bi explained that the US aims to sow discord among Muslim nations, adding that all the tyranny witnessed in the world stems from the American government’s support of oppression.
The professor in the Islamic Seminary of Qom also pointed to the US’ arrogant attitude toward Iran during the ongoing negotiations with the P5+1 group of nations over Iran’s disputed nuclear program.
He referred to a statement from the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution (Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei) that “negotiations under the shadow of threats are meaningless,” and added that the US’ power is “illusionary” and like a “paper tiger.”
Ayatollah Ka’bi stressed that negotiations should be pursued from a dignified position adding that it's the Americans' turn to prove that they are trustworthy.
Ayatollah Ka'bi said that the Americans once humiliate the Iranian people through forcing unconventional inspections adding: "It should be noted that the American government needs the final agreement more than we do."
