RNA – During his weekly Friday prayers’ sermon in the Beirut suburb of Haret Hreik, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Ali Fadhlullah stated that Lebanon faces serious security threats and added that in recent days, there have been clashes in eastern Lebanon between Takfiri terrorists and Hezbollah forces which has led to a large number of Takfiri terrorists being arrested or killed. “These events show that Lebanon needs more unity and harmony,” he explained.

His Eminence said that Lebanon’s numerous internal challenges cannot be resolved by reciprocal accusations which only resort to tense and unbalanced dialogue between various Lebanese groups and religious sects.

Hujjat al-Islam Fadhlullah invited all politicians in Lebanon to try to extinguish the fire of sedition in the country, adding that as soon as possible, the government must try to free the imprisoned Lebanese soldiers who have been captured by Takfiri terrorist groups as well as providing better living conditions for the people of this tiny but multi-religious Middle Eastern country in order to prevent extremism and radicalization.

Saudi aggression on Yemen not to achieve any goals

In another part of his sermon, His Eminence referred to the latest developments in the Saudi-imposed war on the impoverished Arab country of Yemen, stressing that the events on the ground show that the House of Saud will not achieve any positive outcome by continuing their attacks and added that their so-called “Operation Restoring Hope” will only lead to more destruction and the killing of innocent people.

Hujjat al-Islam Fadhlullah pointed to the killings of innocent Yemeni women and children the deaths of a large number of civilians, saying the Saudis have created a humanitarian disaster in the country, which was already suffering before the Saudi invasion. “The current disaster and plight of the Yemeni people should stir the emotions of all Muslims and Arabs in the region and cause them to rush to their aid,” he stated.

Beirut’s Friday prayers’ leader called for the peaceful settlement of the problems facing the Middle East and said that Arab countries must respond to Iran’s proposal for dialogue and consultations. He further added that the countries of the region should not allow foreigners to interfere in their affairs.

Hujjat al-Islam Fadhlullah explained that serious and constructive dialogue between Iran and Arabic countries can resolve the many misunderstandings and differences between the countries of the region and remove the present barriers hindering the Persian Gulf countries’ relations with the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He criticized the military agreement between several Arabic countries and Western governments saying that spending billions of dollars to purchase weapons from the West is useless and creates greater tensions.
