RNA – Speaking during his advanced jurisprudence class at Qom’s Masjid al-A’dham (Grand Mosque), Grand Ayatollah Naser Makarem-Shirazi referred to the “opposition and enmity” towards the Islamic Republic of Iran expressing concern over P5+1's demans that IAEA should "visit Iran’s nuclear facilities and go anywhere they please in Iran and have no door locked on them!"
In regard to the economic issues Iran is currently facing, His Eminence warned against spending money on unnecessary and useless luxury goods due to the exceptional circumstances Iran is facing at this critical time. “The enemies seek to undermine and weaken us with various tools and we should avoid spending our money unnecessarily due to these current problems,” he explained.
The renowned source of emulation also emphasized the importance of the “resistance economy” to solve the problems Iran faces – including bribery and the smuggling of goods.
Anti-Takfir conference in Saudi Arabia
In another part of his lecture, Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi stated that recently an anti-Takfiri conference was held in Saudi Arabia by Wahhabis where it was stressed that takfir (accusing other Muslims of apostasy), is not permissible in Islam.
He stressed that although these Wahhabi Saudi scholars spoke out against Takfirism, nothing has come out of it as Saudi muftis have recently called the Yemeni people “infidels.”
“Our point is that the era of Takfirism and Wahhabism is over,” he added.
Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi stated that Takfirism is against reason and logic and added that Takfirism is the ominous fruit of the Wahhabi ideology. He encouraged Wahhabis to renounce Takfirism and rejoin and unite with the greater Islamic community and stop acting in contradiction to true Islamic teachings.
The revered source of emulation referred to various reports and news about the destruction of Islamic sanctities, historical artefacts and mass executions by ISIL terrorists in Iraq and Syria, said that their brutal murders and crimes are unprecedented in history.
Ayatollah Makarem-Shirazi also warned against the US Congress’ sinister plot to divide Iraq into three independent countries, stressing that the result of a divided Iraq will create a weak government instead of a strong and united government. He added that Iraqis must be vigilant so they do not become entrapped by the enemies’ dangerous conspiracies.
