RNA - Assembly of Iraqi Sunni scholars, headed by Sheikh Abdul Vahhab al Mala's in a message slamming the US congress draft supporting the cooperation of Iraqi Kurds and Sunni groups as an independent government.
"No wonder that the US repeats Joe Biden's proposal for disintegration of Iraq under vain pretexts like confrontation with terrorism, extremism and assisting different anti-DAESH groups." is said in part of this message as quoted by Taghrib News adding," the last case for such proposals was US congress's plan to cooperation with Iraq as a disintegrated country and not a united body."
Assembly of Sunni scholars of Iraq denounced the draft and added," Here we announce our firm opposition with any plot aimed at dividing or paving the ground for disintegration of the country and warn against the US plan as a clear intervention in the domestic issues of Iraq and the region."
Sunni clerics slammed the propagators of this plan and noted," This issue does not have any nationalism and those who support this proposal have revealed their true identity."
Iraqi scholars also stressed," Any idea rather than a united Iraq is in vain and away from high objectives of Iraqi people." adding," Discussing the plan to disintegrate Iraq for achieving peace and stability is quite illogical and away from reality."
