RNA – During his Friday prayer sermon at the Beirut suburb of Haret Hreik’s Hasanayn Mosque, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Ali Fadhlullah stressed that the solution to the crisis in Yemen cannot be found in the destruction of the infrastructure of the country and said that the continuation of the Saudi aggression and murder of the people in Yemen only increases the food and medical crises in the impoverished Arab country.

His Eminence stressed that all parties involved in the Yemen crisis must immediately begin a national dialogue under international supervision, saying it can solve the many problems in the region. This monitoring should be impartial and must be sympathetic and acceptable to the people of Yemen.

In response to the challenges facing Lebanon, he stressed the need to build confidence in the political and public fields, saying that the Lebanese people have to put aside hatred and revenge in order to eliminate the dominating and colonialist perspectives among the different parties.

Hujjat al-Islam Fadhlullah went on to criticize the indifference of some politicians to the challenges in Lebanon and said that all groups can follow challenges to their positions, but they should know that these positions can compromise the existence of all groups.

He said the political parties must think beyond party, tribal and religious interests. Resumption of activities and the implementation of parliamentary legislation is the least that political parties can do for the best interests of the country.

The Lebanese scholar insisted that the predominately Shi’ite southern Beirut suburb of Dahieh is required to implement a strict security plan, saying that Dahieh will always support the Islamic Resistance and the Lebanese army and will never oppose the national government. In addition to this, authorities must implement construction and development plans in Dahieh.
