RNA – In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Mahdi Taeb, president of the Central Council of Ammar Camp, referred to the ongoing popular revolution occurring in Yemen.
He emphasized that anywhere that people seek a true sense of independence and raise slogans of independence, the slogan of “Death to America” and “Death to Israel” springs forth. “Without doubt, the majority of the Yemeni people are seeking religious and political independence. Thus, the two slogans of ‘Death to America’ and ‘Death to Israel’ are the basis of this,” he stated.
Hujjat al-Islam Taeb explained that in the political world today, it has been proved that every country wants to achieve political and religious independence. When these countries seek independence, the arrogant powers, led by the United States and its mastermind Israel, launch wars against them.
“The Saudi-led assault on Yemen has proven that the House of Saud has no real independence as they are only doing the bidding of their masters in the US and Israel,” he argued.
The professor in the Islamic Seminary of Qom stated that the House of Saud, like Saddam Hussein’s Ba’thist regime in Iraq, rule by force and domination. If the House of Saud’s power is broken, it will become apparent that they do not have any real support among the people of the Hejaz region.
His Eminence explained the similarities between the Algerian and Yemeni revolutions, and added that if a nation rises up in demand of its independence and gives its blood on this path, it will not fall fail as the Algerian Revolution did.
Hujjat al-Islam Taeb said that although the Algerian people did not achieve complete independence and the French occupiers more or less remained there, the French were eventually driven out after a million people were killed.
His Eminence explained that as with the French experience in suppressing the Algerian Revolution, the US, Israel and their agents should realize that they cannot stop or prevent the Yemeni peoples’ uprising and desires for independence with bombs because the people are firm on their path of resistance.
Hujjat al-Islam Taeb emphasized the definate defeat of Saudi Arabia is near, reminding us of the Nojeh coup plot after the victory of the Islamic Revolution and the words of Imam Khomeini, who said: “These are the places that were to bombed and destroyed, but they did not think of the future consequences.”
He added that Saudi Arabia has also leased aircraft and pilots to bomb the defenceless Yemeni people but they do not think about the consequences of absolute failure. If they send ground troops into Yemen, they will create a quagmire for themselves which will lead to the eventual collapse of the House of Saud.
Hujjat al-Islam Taeb added that the only way to save the Saudi regime is to stop their bombing campaign and to stop interfering in Yemen’s internal affairs, adding: “Apparently, these warmongers did not learn from the history and experience of the oppressors and are heading straight to the hellfire. Soon, they will perish due to their shedding the blood of the oppressed people of Yemen.”
