RNA – In response to the arrogant remarks made by Lebanon’s Interior Minister, Nouhad al-Mashnouq, over Iran’s role in Lebanon, Ayatollah Afif al-Nablusi, the director of Sidon’s Imam al-Sadiq Seminary, stated that al-Mashnouq is trying to cover up Saudi Arabia’s imminent defeat in the conflicts it has created in Yemen, Syria, Iraq, Lebanon and Bahrain.
Ayatollah al-Nablusi said it is very surprising that despite all the destruction caused throughout the Islamic world by the House of Saud in the past few years, al-Mashnnouq has insisted that the Saudi regime is a country of charity and blessings.
The renowned Lebanese scholar added that Iran does not follow a policy of aggression and oppression in the region but it has always had a constructive relationship with other countries in the region.
The remarks came following a tirade launched by the Lebanese Interior Minister, Nouhad al-Mashnouq, against Iran. Al-Mashnouq, a member of the Future Movement, said that Iran’s policy in the region is causing unrest and confrontations wherever it is present.
Ayatollah al-Nablusi noted Iran’s strong support of the resistance movements in Lebanon and Palestine, saying the Islamic Republic of Iran and its Leader, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, have always strived to protect the freedom and independence of the countries in the region, particularly in Lebanon and Palestine.
“Meanwhile, the Arab countries, especially Saudi Arabia, have not given even one bullet to the Islamic resistance in Lebanon and Palestine,” he said.
