RNA – Ayatollah Sayyed Yousef Tabatabaeinejad, the representative of Iran’s Supreme Leader and the Friday prayer leader of Esfahan condemned the Saudi-led attack on Yemen, and prayed that God will destroy those who are committing such crimes against the oppressed people of the Muslim nation.
Ayatollah Tabatabaeinejad explained that recently a foreign radio station said that the Friday prayer leader of Esfahan spoke against Arabs in his sermon. He called this a complete lie, saying that the West is trying to divide Arabs and other groups so that they can continue their criminal actions: “This is wrong as we do not have anything against Arabs – Arabs are our brothers. In Islam, we do not have a sense of pride on being Arabs, Persians or any other race.”
He added: “We believe is that no one is superior to another because of their language and colour. Iran is not providing military support to Iraq we’re only providing moral support and counsel to the Iraqi government Iraq but if we can provide physical support that would be better.”
Esfahan’s Friday prayers’ leader emphasized that they West strives to propagate that Iran is involved militarily or is interfering in the various conflicts in the Middle East, although the West realizes that Iran is only standing against terrorists and criminals in the conflicts in Syria, Lebanon, the Gaza Strip and Yemen.
Referring to the crimes of the House of Saud, Ayatollah Tabatabaeinejad explained that since Saudi Arabia was born, they have been working to the detriment of Islam and added that they are destroying Yemen on behalf of Israel and the United States. “The crimes of Israel and Saudi Arabia are the same. Murder and transgressions are part of their nature,” he emphasized.
He added that ISIL, the Taliban, the al-Nusrah Front and their likes are all funded with Saudi petrodollars. Also, the Saudi army has entered Bahrain and are committing crimes and standing against this Muslim nation.
At the end of Friday prayers, people spontaneously shouted political and religious slogans and participated in a demonstration, where they chanted “Allahu Akbar [God is the greatest], “Death to America,” “Death to Israel,” Death to the House of Saud,” “The silence of Muslims is a betrayal of the Quran,” and “Oh Muslims! Unite! Unite!”
