RNA – Leading the weekly congregational prayers at Qom’s Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah this week, Ayatollah Ali-Reza Arafi emphasized the helpful comments that Iran’s Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Khamenei, made yesterday.
He said the comments were indicative of the path the Iranian nation should take.
“The Iranian people should thank the negotiating team because they have been working hard and we are hopeful for a successful settlement of the nuclear issue,” he said.
Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyyed Ali Khamenei said on Thursday that it is the very specifics of the nuclear negotiations between Iran and six world powers that would determine the fate of the talks.
The president of al-Mustafa International University noted that the negotiations, which were conducted with the permission of the Supreme Leader, had achieved such that "the world and all the bullying powers have came to accept that Iran has a right to peaceful nuclear technology and that Iran has achieved this sophisticated technology by its own hard work."
He said that the Islamic Republic of Iran has made significant progress based on divine power and the self-confidence of its people.
He said world powers have came up short against the courage and strength of the Iranian people. The Western powers have accepted negotiation because they have realized that they cannot negotiate from a position of force against the Iranian people.
Ayatollah Arafi commended Iran’s noteworthy achievements within the country as well as in the recent negotiations. He stressed that the achievements are commendable, but there are other important points that must not be neglected:
He mentioned that various interpretations have been presented by the White House, which we cannot accept as they ignore the dignity of this nation.
The renowned scholar stressed that the world must know that the government and the people of Iran adhere to the positions of their Leader. The Iranian people are a wise and open to discussions and discourse, but at the same time, if their dignity and honour is violated, they will resist against all bullying by the arrogant powers.
Suaid Arabia is playing with fire
Ayatollah Arafi referred to the Saudi-led attack on Yemen, saying that the Islamic Republic of Iran is prepared to engage logically with Saudi Arabia but they are playing with fire in Yemen and this is the beginning of a bitter end for the House of Saud.
The principal of al-Mustafa International University stated that the Saudi regimes’ attack on Yemen is a sign of their loss of legitimacy in the international arena. They are responsible for the creation of the Takfiri ideology and terror, supporting Saddam’s regime during the Imposed War [Iran-Iraq War] against Iran, their ongoing military presence in Bahrain, the lack of assistance to Palestine, cooperating with enemies of Islam, massacring Hajj pilgrims, neglecting of rights of their own people, and recently, violating the honour of two Iranian teenage male Umrah pilgrims.
Ayatollah Arafi said Saudi Arabia’s attack on Yemen is illogical and contrary to norms of international law. This attack has destroyed the infrastructure of a nation and violated the Yemeni peoples’ human rights – they do not even allow humanitarian aid and medicine to reach the injured. Americans know that by supporting the attack they are playing with fire which has no end and also has dire consequences for them as well.
His Eminence added that the Islamic Revolution of Iran has always been in support the oppressed of the world and prayed that the criminals of the world will soon witness the consequences of their actions and that the light of God will soon shrine over the entire world.
