RNA - He has said in the message that allama Bahr al-Uloom stood against Saddam Hussein for forty years and endured enormous pain.
The full text of the message published on ABNA is as follows:
In the name of God
Among the believers are men true to what they promised Allah . Among them is he who has fulfilled his vow [to the death], and among them is he who awaits [his chance]. And they did not alter [the terms of their commitment] by any alteration – [Surat Al-'Ahzab, 23]
Dear Sayyids, pupils, brothers and the family of the great allama Bahr al-Uloom, with a heart full of grief and sadness and content to God’s will we received the news of the death of allama Bahr al-Uloom.
He was a devotee to the way of God, a strenuous orator, a caller to God and a barrier against the tyranny of Saddam Hussein in the past forty years. He endured a lot of pain and grief for the love of God and became an axample of good manners and deed. He was a hard-working researcher of Ahlul Bait and one the greatest good-doers of Iraq.
We, in the Ahlul Bait World Assembly, extend our condolences to Imam Mahdi (AS), Grand Ayatollahs, seminary schools, people of Iraq and his family over this great loss.
We ask God to place him heaven and grant his family patience to endure the loss.
