RNA – Speaking during his class on Quranic exegesis in Qom’s Masjid al-A’dham (Grand Mosque), Grand Ayatollah Abdollah Javadi-Amoli expressed concern over the situation in Yemen.
In regard to the issue of Yemen, Ayatollah Javadi-Amoli explained: "we hear that an Islamic country [Saudi Arabia], which is apparently an Islamic country, and calls itself the “Custodian of the Two Holy Shrines,” is attacking a country from the earth, air and desert and whose people are the followers of the Ahlul-Bayt (A)."
The revered source of emulation explained the sighs of the oppressed people of Yemen will overtake Saudi Arabia.
He added that the sighs of the oppressed throughout the world will have an effect on us, especially the sighs of the scholars, who will awaken the people.
“We pray to God Almighty that he protect the Yemeni people from the dangers of these groups, and that the sigh of the oppressed has an effect on the people of the world,” His Eminence added.
Saudi Arabia’s military aggression against Yemen started on March 26 in a bid to restore power to fugitive Hadi. The airstrikes have killed hundreds of people and injured thousands more.
