RNA - Hezbollah Secretary General Sayyed Hasan Nasrallah lashed out at Saudi Arabia over its war on Yemen, stressing that the failure of Riyadh’s foreign policy is the real reason behind the Kingdom’s attack against its neighbor.
In a televised speech aired on al-Manar TV, Sayyed Nasrallah called on Saudi Arabia to halt its military attack on Yemen, saying there’s still a chance for the Kingdom to change its mind over the assault.
In this context, the resistance leader stressed that the only solution for the Yemeni crisis is political, “or else the invaders will be defeated.”
Saudis try to justify their attacks by saying that the situation in Yemen threatens the security in the region, Nasrallah stated, adding that such justifications are false and baseless.
The Hezbollah chief stressed that the members of the Saudi-led coalition did not take any measures against revolutionaries in such countries as Tunisia and Egypt during the Islamic Awakening movement in the Middle East and Africa, but used the situation in Yemen as an excuse to wage a bloody war on the country.
Meanwhile, his eminence said that the problem in Yemen is not because Saudi Arabia wants to defend a government or a president; it is rather because Saudi Arabia has lost its influence in Yemen.
Elsewhere in his remarks, Nasrallah condemned "certain Arab countries" for their inaction towards the Israeli aggression in Palestine.
“Israel has never been an enemy in the eyes of certain Arab countries,” the Hezbollah chief said, stressing, “Arab countries have left Palestinian people to suffer," he said.
Regarding the recent developments in Syria, Nasrallah noted that Riyadh and its allies created and supported the ISIL Takfiri terrorist group to topple Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, and have done nothing to help Iraq counter the terrorists.
“Who is preventing a political solution in Syria? Who is fanning the flames in Syria? The kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its allies,” Nasrallah stated.
He also emphasized that efforts by Saudi Arabia, Turkey and Qatar to turn Syria into a submissive country have proved in vain.
