RNA – Speaking to the large gathering of believers, Qom’s Friday congregational prayer leader, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Mohammad Sa’idi, explained that the Islamic Revolution can stand on its own without relying on world powers and emphasized that Iran shows reality of this to the world.
The trustee of the Holy Shrine of Lady Fatimah al-Ma’sumah explained that more than anything, the West uses cruel sanctions to place pressure on the Iranian people. However, our experience has not only shown that these old tools are ineffective but they will not move the Iranian nation from its [firm] principles, rather, the sanctions will further increase the morale of our nation to [help] us reach new heights to reach our ideals.
Hujjat al-Islam Sa’idi referred to Iran’s advances in scientific and nuclear technology, emphasizing that most of Iran’s advances were accomplished under the Western-imposed sanctions.
Iran and the P5+1 countries – Britain, France, the United States, China, Russia and Germany – are seeking to seal a comprehensive nuclear deal by July 1. The two sides have already missed two self-imposed deadlines for inking a final agreement since they signed an interim one in the Swiss city of Geneva November 2013.
Hujjat al-Islam Sa’idi pointed out that when the enemy noticed our advances, they realized that they had no choice but to negotiate, but they only wanted to remove limited amount of sanctions, but the Iranian negotiating team has emphasized that all sanctions should be removed.
Regarding Israeli Prime Minister’s recent congress speech, Hujjat al-Islam Sa’idi said that Netanyahu entered the US due to the invitation of one of its representatives (John Boehner) and without the permission of the US president. “The entrance of this evil and abhorrent guest to the US without invitation, shows their disregard of the arrogant US government, which until now, has supported the Israeli regime,” he said.
He added that due to Netanyahu’s visit, the American government was suffered unprecedented humiliation and even high-ranking government officials did not attend Netanyahu’s lie-filled speech. “However,” Hujjat al-Islam Sa’idi explained, “This does not mean this is the end of the US’ support of the Zionist regime, but it shows that the US is increasingly tired of Israel.”
In reaction to Netanyahu’s claim that the Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Khamenei, has demanded destruction of Israel, Hujjat al-Islam Sa’idi explained that his words are those of Imam Khomeini (RA) and his words are based on the words of God in the Holy Quran, where God emphasizes that the enemy will be humiliated until the end of the world.
The renowned scholar also prayed for the success of the Iraqi people against the DAESH (ISIL) terrorist group and emphasized that the Muslim country of Iraq will be liberated by its armed forces and militia groups and the efforts of Major Commander Qasem Soleymani who is currently liberating Tikrit from the terrorists. “From God we want these people to realize the ultimate victory,” he said.
Hujjat al-Islam Sa’idi also spoke of the Yemeni people’s fight against the Takfiri terrorists destroying their country, arguing that the blood shed by the Takfiri groups is the direct result of the Americans, Israelis and their regional agents’ aid to these groups.
