RNA – Rasa News reporter learnt that the Iraq-based Indo-Pakistani source of emulation, Grand Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi is in direct contact with Shi’ite militia commanders fighting Takfiri terrorists in the northern Iraqi province of Salahuddin and is closely following the events on the ground.

In an exclusive interview with Rasa News correspondent in Najaf, Hujjat al-Islam Ali al-Najafi, the son and representative of Ayatollah al-Najafi said that since the liberation of Salahuddin province began, Ayatollah al-Najafi has been following the events in the news closely and has been in contact with the military commanders on the frontlines in Salahuddin.

Ayatollah al-Najafi is reportedly receiving news directly from the frontlines and closely follows the developments in Salahuddin, where the Iraqi army, backed by thousands of volunteer Shi’ah forces, has launched a major offensive against ISIL militants in the province, which is a stronghold of the Takfiri militants. His Eminence appreciated the militias for the sacrifices they are making for freedom and victory over the DAESH (ISIL) terrorists.

Iraqi forces have managed to liberate 97 regions and districts from the Takfiri terrorists in their ongoing operation in Salahuddin province. In a statement on Wednesday, the Iraqi Interior Ministry announced that dozens of ISIL militants were killed in the ongoing battle.

Hujjat al-Islam al-Najafi stated that his revered father is always praying for the victory of the Iraqi warriors against the Takfiri terrorists who control parts of Iraq and neighboring Syria. They have been engaged in crimes against humanity in the areas under their control.

The Iraqi army and the Shi’ite militias have launched a wide-ranging campaign against the Takfiri terrorists in Salahuddin to liberate the province, which is mostly Sunni and a former stronghold of ousted dictator Saddam Hussein. The province contains the Shi’ite holy city of Samarra, where the Holy al-Askariayn Shrine is located.

The Shi’ite-backed military operation is biggest in Salahuddin since Takfiris seized swaths of northern Iraq last year.

The militias began their campaign with shouts of “Labayk Ya Rasul Allah” [We are with you, Oh Messenger of God], and since then they have been successful at liberating several cities and towns.

They have levelled several significant blows against DAESH, and elements and supporters of these vicious groups whined about their losses on various social networks.

With the intention of completely liberating of the Western province of al-Anbar, this operation in neighbouring Salahuddin has great importance because once it is liberated, DAESH forces in al-Anbar will be under siege in Nineveh province.
